Emma Reynolds is a freelance illustrator and author for children's books, and a character designer for animation. She is based in Manchester, UK.

Passionate about storytelling and creating unique characters, Emma is currently working on her first picture book illustrating Rescuing Ms. Birdley written by Aaron Reynolds, coming Summer 2020 with Simon & Schuster.
She is inspired by nature, animals, exploration, adventure, and seeing the magic in the everyday.

Animation background -
Emma worked in the animation industry for 6 years, contributing character designs to award winning children's television series and short films. Clients include the BBC, CBeebies, PBS Kids and CITV. As well as character design, Emma has also written, directed and managed productions.

In her spare time, Emma draws live portraits and runs drawing workshops for festivals and events, and lectures at Universities. A strong advocate for preparing students for industry, Emma focuses on teaching the real-world skills students need to set up their own business when they graduate.

Emma's favourite food is pizza. She loves bears, bats and cats, walking in the wild, and travelling the world.
